Kiwi Energy is Proud to Partner with Wild Forests and Fauna (WildFF) on their Future Leaders Program
Did you know that some of the most important trees in the world live in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest? These trees absorb carbon dioxide and help reduce the effects of worldwide climate change daily. In addition to the important role, rainforests play in the earth’s climate, they are also home to about half of the species of plants and wildlife on the planet.
As clean energy advocates, Kiwi Energy is very passionate about the state of our rainforests and this is why we are an avid supporter of Wild Forests and Fauna (WildFF). WildFF supports and develops place-based organizations, projects, and individuals that share their mission to protect and restore threatened forests and species. One particular initiative, now in its third year, is WildFF’s Future Leaders Program. Future Leaders is a multi-year capacity-building program that provides local, aspiring, young professionals with skills in sustainable business, innovation, and leadership. Programs are hosted in globally important and endangered forests that have a significant opportunity for conservation. WildFF has a five-year commitment to hosting Future Leaders in the Madre de Dios region of the Peruvian Amazon, known as one of the most bio-diverse regions in the world.
Kiwi Energy is proud to partner with such a respected organization on their Future Leaders Program that is dedicated to youth environmental education and their ability to shape the future of our planet. Kiwi Energy urges you to support Wild Forests and Fauna and organizations like them who are working around the world to ensure that the planet’s forests and wildlife are protected and thriving for current and future generations.
