The Ecogold Environmental Foundation Sponsors 2017 Envirothon

The Ecogold Environmental Fund was thrilled to sponsor the 2017 NCF-Envirothon this summer and to contribute to the top three scoring teams’ cash prizes.

The Envirothon is a leading environmental education program run by the National Conservation Foundation. This year, high schools from 45 different states, seven Canadian provinces, and two Chinese provinces participated in the NCF-Envirothon at the state/provincial, regional, and international levels.

This year’s competitors surpassed all expectations with their advanced critical thinking skills and their knowledge of aquatic ecology, soils/agricultural soil, forestry, wildlife, and water conservation stewardship. The top three scoring teams were awarded a total of $30,000 cash prizes at an awards ceremony held at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Ecogold would like to once again offer its congratulations to the Penncrest High School, The Mount Academy, and Hot Springs High School students for their exceptional performance in this amazing competition.
